Molly Berlin is an artist and potter based in Philadelphia, PA where she makes sculptural vessels and objects that glean pattern and color from her parents’ former kite shop at the beach in South Jersey. Her most recent work pulls from her personal history as a potter while leaving function behind to flirt with the intersections of consensus reality, memory and loss.
She’s the co-founder of The Ceramics Dept - a community clay studio opening in Spring 2026 and has a gallery in her bedroom named Pretty Boy.
Molly received a BFA from The University of the Arts in 2013 and has studied ceramics in different capacities at the Kyoei-Gama Ceramics School in Tokoname, Japan, The Chautauqua Institution in Upstate NY, and Ceramics School in Detroit, MI. She recently completed a three year fellowship at Penland School of Craft in Western North Carolina.
She is a member of Crafting The Future.
